USING AND EVALUATING INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

In this chapter it shows that, being a future teacher we must know how to impart knowledge to our students. And in order for us to impart our knowledge to our students easier and effectively we must used the proper kind of instructional material that is appropriate i our discussion. In order for us to find out either  were using the exact instructional material we must seek guide question that is related to your learners condition such as: Is the material appropriate for the age,intelligence and  learners experienced? This guide question can help us in a way that if were using a kind of instructional material that is not fitted to the age and intelligence of the learner it is considered useless because learners cant catch up the lessons you want to impart to them. In order for us to have an effective discussion we must also know how to use that certain material. In using that instructional material properly we must consider the four factors:
  • Prepare your self- we us a teacher we must prepare our selves in every discussion we have, we must know everything about our topic and we must know why we used that certain material and we must see to it that the material we used is exact for the class to attain our objective for that day.
  • Prepare your students- one of the most effective way in order for our students to engaged and be interested in our discussion we must give some motivation, motivation through exercises,questions and play that is related to the topic to be discussed.
  • Present the materials- we as teacher we must know how to operate the materials we choose to used and we must rehearsed it before the time of discussion and it must be well planned.
  • Follow up- even if were using materials in our discussion we must have a follow up in order for us to identify if our objective was met or not.
    With this things it is easier for us teacher to be have an effective discussion and to be an effective teacher.
